NY Boiler & Air Conditioning Repair
Your Navien is a great machine. I should know — I’ve personally installed hundreds of them across Long Island.
But tankless and combi units come with one rule that isn’t optional: annual descaling. The water on Long Island carries enough minerals that scale builds up inside that heat exchanger every single year, whether you think about it or not. Skip the flush and you’ll start noticing it — the shower going hot-cold-hot, flow that isn’t what it used to be, a unit that rumbles where it used to hum, error codes that keep coming back. Let it go long enough and you’re looking at a repair bill that costs a lot more than maintenance ever would. Scale damage from skipped maintenance can even affect your warranty coverage.
I’m Louie the Boiler Man — Navien factory-trained and certified. This is the exact service I’d run on my own equipment, at one flat price, everything included. No fluff, no upsell games.
The $599 Full Service — what you get
Works for tankless, combi and boiler units — NPE, NCB, NFC and NFB series.
The flat-rate zone
The $599 price covers the whole job anywhere in our South Nassau home zone: Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Island Park, Long Beach, Roosevelt, Uniondale and Hempstead.
Live outside those towns? We still come out — we just add a travel charge based on the distance. Call or text 516-377-5200 with your address and we’ll give you the exact number before we book anything.
Signs your Navien is overdue
If any of that sounds like your house, don’t wait for the unit to lock out on a cold morning. That’s exactly how these things go down.
Why have Louie do it
Anyone can buy a descaling pump online and push vinegar through a heat exchanger. The difference is everything that happens after the flush: combustion has to be verified with an analyzer, gas pressure checked against Navien’s spec, the condensate system actually cleaned, the error history read correctly by someone who knows what those codes mean in the real world. I’m factory-trained on every current Navien model, and I’ve been installing and servicing these units in Nassau, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx since 2012. When I close it up, it runs the way Navien designed it to run.
Frequently asked questions
How often does a Navien tankless or combi need descaling on Long Island?
Once a year. Long Island water carries enough minerals that scale builds up inside the heat exchanger every season. Navien’s own manual calls for periodic flushing, and scale-related damage from skipped maintenance can affect warranty coverage.
What does the $599 full service include?
Everything: the descaling flush with manufacturer-approved solution, cleaning of the inlet and recirculation filters, air intake and fan check, burner inspection, combustion analysis, gas pressure check, condensate trap cleaning, venting inspection, error code review, and a written condition report. One flat price.
Which towns are in the $599 flat-rate zone?
Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Island Park, Long Beach, Roosevelt, Uniondale and Hempstead. Outside those towns we still come — a travel charge is added based on distance. Call and we’ll quote it on the spot.
How long does the service take?
Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours. The descaling solution needs time to circulate through the heat exchanger properly. Anyone who says they can do it in 30 minutes isn’t really doing it.
My Navien is showing an error code right now. Is that a service or a repair?
Call or text us the code at 516-377-5200. Some codes clear with a proper cleaning and descaling flush — that’s the $599 service. Others point to a component issue, and we’ll quote the repair honestly before touching anything.
Do you install Navien units too?
Yes. Navien tankless, combi and boiler installations are our specialty — factory-trained, hundreds installed across Nassau, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.
